Bedford Charter House

What are we doing on the 17th June 2016?:

Staff at Bedford Charter House are excited to be once again celebrating National Care Home Open Day on 17th June 2016. We will be providing lots of different activities and entertainment throughout the day. In the morning we will be welcoming "Boogie Beats" who will be encouraging the residents to participate in some fun chair exercises and a bit of dancing. In the afternoon, we are looking forward to seeing "Ark Farm" who will be bringing along a selection of small animals for the residents to meet and pet. Alongside this, Emma Brown and her in-house Activities Team will be putting on various other activities so that there really is something for everyone. Why not pop in and see us, join in the fun and join us for a cup of tea. For further information, please call us on 01234 321400

We believe these aims are best delivered by well trained and motivated staff. Every resident is assessed prior to moving in and regulary assessed throughout their stay. Our Activities Team offer an extensive activities programme twice a day Monday to Friday and once a day at the weekend. This is a very popular service with our residents and the activities sessions are always well attended. The activities staff occassionally take residents on trips to the seaside. In addition to this, we hold a monthly drop-in session whcih is arranged by The Purple Trust, a qualified gym instructor attends once a week for exercise classes and we work with the Retirement Education Centre who deliver General Studies groups covering subjects such as local history and famous sculptures. Our hairdresser works in the salon on the first floor four days per week and is available for cuts, sets, perms and other haior and beauty treatments.
