What are we doing on the 17th June 2016?:

We have recently been renovating some areas of the garden and hope most of the work will be done by the Open Day. You are welcome to come and enjoy our new Woodland Walk and sit for a while in one of the arbours where you may be joined by the robins or squirrels we have in that area.

Why not sit for a while in the sensory garden and watch the animals there, both wildlife and pets, or sit by the pond and watch the fish.

We have so many different areas in the garden only you can decide which is your favourite.

If the weather is a little cool there is always the coffee shop where you can enjoy some of the wonderful refreshments on offer.

In the afternoon we will be visited by one of our most popular entertainers, the duo Pride, you are welcome to join us for a song and a dance.

1o why is our care home such a great place?:

Glennfield Care Centre is a purpose built 84-bedded Care Home, which opened in November 2008. Today Glennfield provides Nursing, Dementia Nursing, Residential Frail and Dementia Care. We also offer accommodation for individuals who require early onset dementia care

Glennfield Care Centre delivers a modern yet homely living environment for residents and visitors alike and wheelchair access is provided throughout the home and gardens. The secure and well maintained garden has summerhouses and water features.

At Glennfield Care Centre each single room has its own en-suite shower facility.

The Home is split into five units and each unit offers its own dining and living areas with a kitchenette equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, microwave and toaster. Here, people can prepare breakfast and snacks whenever they want. The dining area and lounge on the ground floor units enjoy patio doors which open directly onto the landscaped garden, where people can enjoy the raised flowerbeds, summer houses and games areas. First floor units overlook the gardens, with easy access to the gardens via the lifts.

We use our large communal reception area for gatherings including entertainment and church services. All our meals are cooked on site and served in individual dining rooms using fresh local produce. We review our menus regularly to take into account changes in seasons and individual requirements.

At Glennfield Care Centre, we are especially proud of our coffee shop on the ground floor. All are welcome to use this comfortable and homely area.
