On the 19th June we hope to meet members from all across the community, to get an inside peek of what it's really like at Hopton Care Cottages. We're holding an art class at 11am, followed by our Hopton Bakeoff, and a yoga dance class! We are then finishing the day with a cream tea at 3pm.
Hopton Care Cottages is not like any other residential care home. We wanted to offer far more than a room in a building, and hence designed individual cottage rooms with private patio gardens and luxury ensuite bathrooms. The home has stunning communal gardens and wonderful lounges with views across the countryside or gardens.
Hopton Care Cottages was such a different type of care home that we decided we wanted to build it ourselves. So, we set up Ashmartin Construction with our highly skilled and experienced builder Mr Ash Goodes. Ash only builds high quality buildings and no cost cutting is tolerated!
Having our own construction company has made sure we got exactly the design we wanted, with the highest quality materials and workmanship, from natural stone right through to luxury furnishings and fittings such as Velfac windows and patio doors.
Our bedrooms contain queen sized beds with luxury quilted memory foam mattresses, fine oak furniture and luxury ensuites.
Hopton Care Cottages is a residential care home and is fully staffed 24 hours a day. The Cottages have been designed to offer maximum luxury and comfort, which is available for all to enjoy no matter age or physical ability. We have extra wide corridors with hand rails throughout and specially designed bath and shower rooms which offer the right amount of support and space.
50 of the 60 cottages are on the ground floor and there are no steps or ramps throughout the whole building.
Our lovely gardens have walkways constructed from non-slip decorative concrete so small walks can be enjoyed safely all year round. We offer the help needed, including personal care, managing health concerns, support to get out and about and enjoy activities and social events.
We have a beautiful therapy room at Hopton Care Cottages, and also provide all laundry services and we are pleased to be able to offer a personalised laundry and dry cleaning service.
At Hopton Care Cottages activities and events are a key part of the care we provide. The home has its own dedicated activity coordinator who is especially devoted to organising a range of stimulating and engaging activities and events.
We provide individually tailored activities for each person who uses our service alongside a wide range of social activities and events that are available to everyone.
We want life in our home to be as active and engaging as you want it to be. Our activities are inspired by you, whether these are lifelong interests or the wish to discover new ones.
