What are we doing on the 16th June 2017?:

On the 19th of June we look forward to opening our doors to you so that you may experience the benefits of care in a residential or nursing home. You will experience the activities that we arrange for the people who use our service including for example, activity that is designed to exercise the body and others that exercise the mind. Our chefs will be preparing a taster selection of the food we make available for our residents and those family members who choose to eat with us.

There will be members of staff on hand to speak about life in a care home and should you be interested in working with us, we can even arrange an interview for you.

We believe that every individual, irrespective of their physical, social or psychological condition, has the right to be treated with dignity and respect whilst being supported in the choices they make within their lives. Rosewell provides personalised nursing and residential care to older people in a supportive, friendly and homely setting. We support residents to maintain their independence and control within their lives.

Rosewell has a welcoming atmosphere and we strive to make each residents stay a comfortable, fulfilling and enriching experience. We enable people to maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We encourage regular interactions with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local interest groups. Our activity co-ordinators organise a varied programme of daily activities and support people to continue their own interests and hobbies. Many residents enjoy daily activities including card and quiz games in addition to day trips to the seaside, local shops or churchservices. We have our own in-house hairdressing salon and chiropodists, physiotherapists, opticians and other professionals visit regularly. We are able to accommodate any religious services and observations residents choose to follow.

Meal times are an important part of the day at Rosewell where our experienced catering staff prepare a menu of home cooked food every day and where we cater for individual likes and dislikes from a cultural, religious or personal choice perspective. Residents are very welcome to invite their friends and relatives to dine with them.

Our aim to empower residents to make their own choices about how they live their lives. We believe that every individual, irrespective of their physical, social or psychological condition has the right to be treated with dignity and respect and supported to maintain choice and control over their own lives. We understand that people bring with them a life story of achievements, events and life experiences. We know that this information is essential to ensure a care package that is tailored for each individual’s needs.

We have 77 modern and comfortable bedrooms, most with an en-suite toilet facility. Also available are a selection of double rooms. Each room has a telephone point so that residents can keep in touch with their family and friends.

For the comfort of residents, Rosewell has several lounges and dining rooms and two conservatories. Some rooms overlook the neighbouring Mendip Hills where residents can enjoy watching the spectacular sunsets.

The home is well-equipped with handrails, spacious halls and chair lifts to accommodate people’s needs and encourage mobility.

Conveniently situated on the outskirts of the village of High Littleton, Rosewell is approximately ten miles from the cities of Bath and Bristol. High Littleton village is within easy walking distance and the home is a few miles outside of Paulton.
