National Care Home Open Day at Inglewood 2015

With “ The Arts ” being this year’s theme for National Care Home Open Day, residents at Inglewood have been enjoying arts and crafts with activity coordinator Maria during the weekends. For the past few months Maria has helped residents to expand their creativity in new ways through art activities, such as; glass painting, origami and pebble painting. Some residents have made miniature rose bushes from tissue paper, florists balls and a lot of pins.

Although being “arty” is not for everyone it provides conversation starters and something for those not physically participating to watch and admire.

With plenty more art activities to come Inglewood residents are well on the way to being budding artists.

Residents’ art and craft work was proudly put on display for all to see.

An afternoon of music from pianist Coryn and a good sing a long was enjoyed with residents’ families and friends joining in.

A great day was had by all.
