Join us for a very special celebration from 11am and noon and 2pm to 4pm.
At 2pm two very special visitors will be dropping by to provide the afternoon’s entertainment – Pippa Langhorne and her dog Buddy, who captured the nation’s hearts when they got through to the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent with their musical performance.
The singing duo will be joined by one of the care home’s care assistants Alicia Sandall, who has joined to make the group a trio – with residents, the team and visitors in for a very special performance.
The afternoon will see another VIP guest, Mayor of Pershore Councillor Bob Gillmor drop in and earlier in the day, between 11am and noon there will also be garden games and refreshments.
Heathlands’ manager Netty Matthews said: “Our residents love to see new and familiar faces from our community in their home so they are really looking forward to sharing some memorable moments for Care Home Open Day.”
Friday 16 June marks the fifth annual Care Home Open Day, when homes nationwide open their doors and welcome people to share a special day with their teams and residents, forging lasting links with their local communities.
The theme for this year is friendship, so if anyone would be interested in attending and making some new friends at Heathlands please drop in anytime between 11am and noon and 2pm and 4pm.
