They train nursing home staff and other elder care professionals, as well as family caregivers, how to create and provide personalized playlists using iPods/MP3 Players and related digital audio systems that enable those struggling with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other cognitive and physical challenges to reconnect with the world through music-triggered memories.
By providing access and education, and by creating a network of MUSIC & MEMORY® Certified organizations, they aim to make this form of personalized therapeutic music a standard of care throughout the health care industry.
Creative Mojo provides an all-inclusive craft experience for the elderly, adults with learning and physical disabilities and mental health concerns. They also specialise in working with people with dementia and also within wider community groups.
Having had more than seven years experience developing and running workshops for the residential care industry, they have crafted a solution that means everyone including individuals with severe learning disabilities can engage and enjoy being creative. Their focus is on assisting residents to be creative, helping individuals ideas come to life, our group and 1-2-1 classes are tailored for each and every individuals needs and for those looking to explore further creatively, we can tailor our classes accordingly.
Helping people with Dementia regain their confidence. Quite simply, our workshops assist in getting people with Dementia's Mojo back! By using bespoke shapes, individuals who may have lost their previous confidence in being creative can join in, regain this confidence and feel able to express themselves once again.
